Death Of Michael Lyons, Formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, Tuesday 31st December 2024, of Mr Michael Lyons, Sydney, Australia and formerly of No.11 St Mary’s Road, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his son David, parents George and Kathleen, sister Eileen and brother Fr. George; Mr Lyons passed away peacefully.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Celine, son Peter, grandchildren Riley and Penny, daughter-in-law Hayley, Peter’s partner Pilar, sisters Betty, Noreen and Ita, brothers John and Patrick, aunts, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Lyons will repose for Requiem Mass at St Declan’s Catholic Church, Penshurst, Sydney Australia on Thursday morning, January 9th, at 11:00pm (Irish time).

Death Of Mickie Hogan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 4th January 2025, of Mr Michael (Mickie) Hogan, (Hogan’s Bar), Ballysloe, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his wife Allie; Mr Hogan, passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, in the presence of his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; daughter Valerie, son William and partner Edel, adored grandchildren Ronan, Marty and Cara, brothers Willie-Joe and Tom, sister Alice, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, loyal customers, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The earthly remains of Mr Hogan will repose at his place of ordinary residence at Ballysloe, Gortnahoe Thurles, (Eircode E41 F449), on Thursday afternoon, January 9th, 2025 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Gortnahoe, Thurles, on Friday morning to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in Fennor Cemetery, Fennor, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Bernadette Ryan, Formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday 4th January 2025, of Mrs Bernadette Ryan (née O’Donoghue), ‘Glencarrig’ Georges Street, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork and formerly of Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by her sisters Breda, Chrissie and Kathleen and her brother Tom; Mrs Ryan passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; husband Con (Littleton, Thurles) daughters Sineád (Lahique) and Martina, son Fergal, grandchildren Rana, Yasmin, Adam, Eoin, Eve, Sophie, Blake, Julie, Lucas and Stella, and great-grandchildren Zara and Zoe, son-in-law Khalid, daughter-in-law Roisín, brothers Liam and John, sisters Eily (McGrath), Theresa (Carey) and Jacinta (Flynn), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Her remains will be received into the nearby Church of Mary, Conceived Without Sin, Mitchelstown, on Tuesday morning, January 7th, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Brigown New Cemetery, Brigown Rd, Brigown, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.

Death Of Alice Carroll, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Friday 3rd January 2025, of Ms Alice Carroll, Derheen, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Joe and Mary, brothers Charlie and Mathew, sister Mary, niece Triona, sisters-in-law Mary, Bab’s and Gladis; Mrs Carroll, sadly, passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the care of staff at St Theresa’s Nursing Home, Thurles and Tipperary University Hospital.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; brother Joseph (Joss), nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, extended relatives, neighbours friends and the St Theresa community.

Her remains will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, on Tuesday morning, January 9th, at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Franz Molloy, Formerly Of Thurles, Co Tipperary.

It was with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death today, Friday 3rd January 2025, of Mr Francis (Franz) Molloy, Ballinea, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Holycross, and Liberty Square, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Mr Molloy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at the Midland Regional Hospital, Longford Road, Mullingar and previously at Newbrook Nursing Home, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

A man who brought great joy to the lives of all those whose path he crossed, and pre-deceased by his sister Mary; his passing today is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Katrina, son Peter, daughter-in-law Charlotte, daughters Clara and Rosanne, grandchildren Alexander and Ivan, brothers Anthony and Joseph, sister Christelle, sisters-in-law Veronica, Josephine, Pamela and Miriam, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Westmeath, (Eircode N91 EF82), arriving at 6:30pm same evening.

Requiem Mass for Mr Molloy will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, January 7th, at 11:00am, followed by interment in Walshestown Cemetery, Walshestown, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
