Death Of Ray Shannon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Wednesday 4th December 2024, of Mr Raymond (Ray) Shannon, Knockroe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly Cranny, Co, Clare.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Carmel and his sister Bríd; Mr Shannon passed away peacefully at his place of ordinary residence.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; daughter Denise and son Ken, grandchildren Xabi, Julen, Diego and Maia, son-in-law Fiachra and daughter-in-law Elena, his sister Marie, brothers Denis and Pat, sister-in-law Sr. Aidan O’ Brien, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Shannon will repose at his home (E41 NV05) on tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, December 5th, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of St. Mary, Cranny, Carrowreagh East, Co. Clare, (V15 N156) on Friday afternoon, December 6th; arriving at 4:00pm approximately.
Requiem Mass for Mr Shannon will be celebrated on Saturday December 7th, at 12:00 noon, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Mary Kennedy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 3rd December 2024, of Ms Mary Kennedy, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Ellie and brothers John, Tom, Ned and Paddy; Ms Kennedy passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Ashlawn Nursing Home, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; Sisters Nora (Moloney) and Bridget (Gleeson), sister-in-law Eileen, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

The earthly remains of Ms Kennedy will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, (E41 FN 34) on Thursday afternoon, December 5th from 5:00pm, with removal at 7:00pm same evening, to be received into the Church of the Sacred Hearth, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles.
Requiem Mass for Ms Kennedy will be celebrated on Friday morning, December 6th, at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the nearby local Upperchurch cemetery, Crossroads, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Ursula Long, Late Of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Friday 29th November 2024, of Mrs Ursula Long (née Fennelly) Dalkey, Co. Dublin and late of Ballintaggart, Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs Long passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Beechfield Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness, most patiently borne.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; best friend, devoted and loving husband Gerard; daughter Ann-Marie, son Killian, son-in-law Rory, daughter-in-law Gina, granddaughters Pia and Mollie, sister Anne, brother Fintan, brother-in-law Joseph, sisters-in-law Brenda and Miriam, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 30th November 2024, of Mr Dominic McMonagle, Glengoole, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his father Bill and nephew Patrick; Mr McMonagle passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the care of staff at St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; his mother Teresa, sister Rosaleen, brothers Sean, Mark and Michael, sister-in-law Fiona, associates Philip, Assumpta and Natalie, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Thursday 28th November 2024 of Ms Catherine (Kitty) Boland, Leugh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

In her 84th year and pre-deceased by her parents Michael and Mary, brothers Thomas, Pat and John, sister Eileen, sister-in-law Catherine, brothers-in-law Paddy and Danny, nephews Tommy and Michael; Ms Boland sadly passed away tragically.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; sister Pauline, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grand-nieces, great-grand-nephews, sisters-in-law Joan and Mary, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Clare, (V14 PV30) at 3:00pm.
