Death Of Stasia O’Grady, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 21st February 2025, of Mrs Stasia O’Grady (née Walsh), Mullinoly, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her loving parents Frank and Kitty and beloved husband Tom; Mrs O’Grady passed away peacefully while in the care of the staff at Waterford University Hospital (Orthopaedic 2 ward), surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; sons Colin, Alan and Michael, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Susan and Rose sisters Brigid, Kathleen, Chris and Bernadette, grandchildren Alexandra, Ryan, Alice, Nancy, Liam and Joe, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs O’Grady will be received into the Church of St Michael, Kickham Street, Mullinahone, Thurles, to repose for Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning, February 25th, at 11:00am, followed by a Service of Cremation immediately afterwards in The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork at 4:00pm, same afternoon.

Death Of Edward Sweeney, Formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Monday 17th February 2025, of Mr Edward Patrick Sweeney, formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary; Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, UK., and late of Reenmore, Ahakista, Bantry, Co. Cork.

In his 90th year and pre-deceased by his parents Edward Patrick (Templemore, Co. Tipperary) and Emily (née Thursby, Liverpool UK.), Mr Sweeney, sadly passed away suddenly at his place of ordinary residence.
A former miner (Hilton Main Colliery UK), Schoolmaster (Bluecoat C of E school, Dudley UK) and Company Director of EPS Construction (Northern) Ltd, Mr Sweeney had latterly retired to Ireland, since 2003.

A loyal and true friend to many, his passing will be sadly missed for his kind, gentle and modest manner and his great sense of fun and generosity. His passing remains deeply regretted, by his sorrowing family; loving wife Eileen (née Lewis) sisters-in-law Patricia Hall and Lynn Lewis UK, brother-in-law Michael, nieces Julie and Joanne, nephew Michael, grandniece Hannah grandnephews Bradley, Theo and George, great-great-grandniece Rosa (all UK).

The earthly remains of Mr Sweeney will repose at Coakley’s Funeral Home, Chapel Street, Bantry, Co. Cork (P75 YW58) on Tuesday afternoon, February 25th, from 4:00pm until 5:30pm.
A private funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday afternoon, February 26th, at The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork,, followed by a reception at Carrigaline Court Hotel, Main St, Carrigaline West, Carrigaline, Co. Cork, (P43 RH21).

For those persons who are unable to attend the Cremation Service for Mr Sweeney, same can be viewed, streamed live online, HERE.

Death Of Tom Gleeson, Formerly Of Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Sunday 9th February 2025, of Mr Tom Gleeson, Keswick, Cumbria, Northwest England’s Lake District, UK and formerly of Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

The passing of Mr Gleeson is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; brothers Murt and Paddy, sister Peggy and brothers Charlie and Joe, nieces Amanda, Tara and Denise, nephews David, Kevin and Cathal, grandnieces Erin and Lily, sisters-in-law Bridie and Geraldine, friend Kirsten (Fred), extended relatives neighbours and many friends.

Death of Richard Needham, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death,yesterday, Wednesday 5th February 2025, of Mr Richard Needham, Ballinacloughy, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his baby son Richard, parents Val and Josie; Mr Needham passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at the Oak Ward, University Hospital, Waterford, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Ann, sons Val, Laurence and Andrew, brothers Tom and Val, sisters Carmel and Breda, grandson Patrick, aunt Evelyn, daughters-in-law Kim and Claire, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Requiem Mass for Mr Needham will be celebrated on Sunday, February 9th, in St Michael’s Church, Mullinahone, Kickham St, Mullinahone, Thurles Co. Tipperary at 12:00 noon, followed by a Service of Cremation at The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, at 4:00pm on Monday afternoon, February 10th next.

Death Of Joan O’Toole, Formerly Templemore, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Saturday 1st February 2025 of
Mrs Joan O’Toole (née Heery), Shanbally, Rearcross, Co.Tipperary and formerly of Templemore, Co. Tipperary and University Hospital Limerick.

Predeceased by her husband Michael; Mrs O’Toole passed away peacefully at Milford Care Centre.

Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughters Michelle and Aisling, son Niall and partner Amy, sons-in-law Gary and T.J., granddaughter Éabha, the Heery and O’Toole families, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
