It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Tuesday 11th March 2025, of Mr Patrick (Pat) O’Connell, Greenhills, 175 Limekiln Green, Walkinstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Ballingarry (South Riding), Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his parents Geoff and Josie, his brother Michael and sisters Joan and Noreen; Mr O’Connell passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross, following a long illness most bravely borne.
His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; brother Danny, sisters Catherine and Anne, brother-in-law Tommy, sister-in-law Bridie, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr O’Connell will repose at his Dublin place of ordinary residence (Eircode D12 R642) on tomorrow afternoon Wednesday, March 12th, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm same evening.
His remains will repose at Dermot Ronan’s Funeral Home, Ballingarry (SR), Thurles, on Thursday afternoon, March 13th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
On Friday morning his remains will be received into the Church of the Assumption, Ballingarry (SR), Thurles to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ballingarry (SR), Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
