Death Of Seamus Mackey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Friday 28th February 2025 of Mr Seamus Mackey, Gleann Rí, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his parents James and Liz and sister Eileen; Mr Mackey passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Fennor Hill Nursing Home, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; loving wife Josephine (née Kennedy), daughters Caroline (Foley) and Michelle (Breen), sons Seamus and P.J., grandchildren Jamie, Kayleigh, Shauna, Cathal and Róisin, sons-in-law Tony and Conor, daughter-in-law Lorraine, brothers Larry, Mick and Billy, sisters Kathleen, Philly, Marian, Ann and Janie, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Mackey will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Sunday afternoon, March 2nd, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before being received into the former Cistercian Monastery Abbey at Holycross, Thurles, at 8:00pm same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mr Mackey will be celebrated on Monday morning, March 3rd, at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards, in the adjoining graveyard.
