It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Sunday 18th August 2024, of Mrs Statia Leahy (née Bourke), Ballydavid, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
In her 94th year and predeceased by her husband Jim, infant daughter Teresa and sister Biddy (Fogarty); Mrs Leahy passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at South Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; daughters Aileen (Healy), Mary, Margaret (Bergin), Brigid (Hackett) and Catherine (O’Donovan), son Jimmy, sisters Peggy (Fogarty) and Maura (Ryan), brother Paddy, sister-in-law Eileen (Bourke), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Leahy will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Thursday afternoon, August 22nd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, same evening.
The remains of Mrs Leahy will leave her place of ordinary residence on Friday morning, August 23rd, to be received into the Church of Our Lady and St Kevin, Littleton, Thurles at 11:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment immediately afterwards in Two-Mile-Borris cemetery, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
