Death Of Christopher Connolly, Formerly Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Friday 26th July 2024, of Mr Christopher Connolly (Criostóir O’Conghaile), Sandycove, Dublin (Ex Department of Education) and formerly of Tuam, Co. Galway and Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Mairead (née Fitzgerald, Suir View, Cathedral St, Thurles): Mr O’Conghaile passed away while in the care of the Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock, Co. Dublin, surrounded by his loving family.

His passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family; son Raymond (Newbridge, Co. Kildare), daughters Edel (Birr, Co. Offaly) and Denise (Celbridge, Co. Kildare), brother Jarlath, niece, special friend Dominica, brother-in-law John and extended family members, cherished grandchildren (Buddy) Ciara, James, Grace and David, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Aoife, Rita, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr O’Conghaile will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Tuesday afternoon, July 30th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before arriving at the nearby Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary at 7:45pm, same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mr Connolly will be celebrated on Wednesday morning July 30th at 11:00am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in St Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
