It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 3rd November 2023 of Mr James (Bobby) Purcell, Crossogues, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his cherished wife Bridget (née Fitzpatrick), infant son Patrick, parents Thomas and Bridget (Grange, Barna, Thurles) and brothers; Mr Purcell passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with illness, while in the care of staff in I.C.U. at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his adoring sons Martin, Tom, P.J. John, Jimmy, daughter and daughter-in-law Breda and Ciara, grand-daughter Staceylee, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, extended relatives, excellent neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Purcell will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on Monday afternoon, November 6th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, before being received into the Church of the Sacred Heart Church, Gortnahoe, Thurles, at 8:00pm same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mr Purcell will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, November 7th, at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in Aglish Cemetery, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
