It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Wednesday 9th February, 2022, of Mr Matty Bourke, Drombane Cross, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by his wife Maureen, brother Eddie, sisters Sadie and Sylvie; Mr Bourke passed away while in the loving care of staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his immediate family, Terence, Padraig and Tony, daughters-in-law Catherine and Amanda, grandchildren Alanna, Ava, Maebh and Erin, Sisters Peggy, Anna and Aileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Bourke will repose at O’Dwyers Funeral Home, Upperchurch, Thurles on tomorrow evening Friday, February 11th, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, before being received into the Church of St. Mary, Drombane, Thurles, on Saturday morning, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Mass will be followed immediately afterwards by interment in nearby Kilvalure Cemetery, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mr Bourke, but are unable to do so, due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic; same can be viewed online HERE.
[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending Requiem Mass will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
