It was with the deepest regret that we learned of the death, on Monday 7th June 2021, of former Lance Corporal Mr Jozef Mielniczek, Boherlahan, Co. Tipperary, and late of Ilford Park Polish Home, Devon, United Kingdom and formerly of Bednarów Poland and Brixton Hill, London.
Pre-deceased by his wife Maura (née O’Dwyer, Nodstown Lower, Boherlahan), Mr Mielniczek passed away peacefully at the age of 95 years, while in the care of staff at Ilford Park Polish Home, Newton Abbot, United Kingdom.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his sons Jozef, Michael and Peter, daughters Anna, Teresa, Jane, and their partners, his nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, brother-in-law Michael O’Dwyer (The Rock, Cashel), sisters-in-law Breda Dalton and Nora O’Toole (London), extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Mielniczek will repose for Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Boherlahan, on Thursday next, July 22nd; followed by interment immediately afterwards in Ardmayle Graveyard, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service for Mr Mielniczek, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.
[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 50 mourners) will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]

Mr Mielniczek lived a great life, despite many hardships. His love for his family brought him great happiness, and he in turn brought ineffable joy into all our lives.
Mr Mielniczek will be laid to rest in Ardmayle Cemetery to fulfil his express wish to be buried next to his beloved wife Maura.
