It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, on Thursday 4th March 2021, of Mr Philip (Phil) O’Dwyer, Willowmere Drive Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Coolahulla, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his parents Jeremiah and Ellen, his brothers Thomas and Dermot and sister Helen; Mr O’Dwyer sadly passed away on his 79th birthday, while in the care of staff at Ardeen Nursing Home, Thurles.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving children Daragh, Nessa and Breffni, his five heartbroken grandchildren Caoimhe, Ruairi, Eabha, Mia and Lucie (latter who loved their “Papi Philly” as much as he loved them), his daughter-in-law Niamh, son-in-law Leo and Jack, siblings Marie, Michael, Jack, Kevin, Noel, Ger, Joe and Riona, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The funeral cortège, bearing the earthly remains of Mr O’Dwyer, will leave his residence at Willowmere Drive, Thurles on Monday morning, March 8th, at 10:15am to be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 10:30am for private Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Private cremation will take place later in Little Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Spike Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service of Mr O’Dwyer, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.
[NB: Due to National Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending (limited to 10 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
