Death Of John Collins, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a very deep personal sadness that I learned of the death yesterday, Wednesday 23rd December 2020, of colleague Mr John Collins, Kennedy Park, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

A man who brought great joy to the lives of all those whose path he crossed, and predeceased by his wife Sheila (née Crowe); Mr Collins passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, while in the wonderful care of Johnny, Josie and family at their residence at Mullanbrack, Thurles.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his sons Jimmy, Tommy and Johnny; daughters Nuala (O’Donovan, Kilteely, Co. Limerick), and Ann (McGann, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin), grandchildren Ronan, Niamh, Katie, Christopher, Sean, Padraig and Chloe; daughters-in-law Josie and Breda; sons-in-law Michael and Paddy; brother Jim; sister Mary; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The funeral cortége, bearing the earthly remains of Mr Collins, will leave Mullanbrack, Thurles on Sunday morning next, December 27th at 10:10am, travelling via his former place of residence at Kennedy Park, to be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 10:30am, for private Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

[Note: Due to National Public Health Guidelines regarding Covid-19 virus restrictions; those attending within the Cathedral building, (limited to 10 family members), will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing and face covering.]
