This morning, July 5th 2020, one man has lost his life, one man is in a critical condition and another man has been arrested following a three-car road crash here in Co. Tipperary.
The collision happened just before 7:00am at South Lodge, Carrick-On-Suir, Co. Tipperary.
The fatality, latter a front-seat passenger in one of the vehicles and understood to be aged in his 70’s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man, aged in his 20’s, travelling in the back of another car was removed to St. Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny, in a critical condition.
The man arrested is understood to be aged in his 30’s and is being held at Clonmel Garda Station.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward especially those who may have vehicle cam footage and to make same footage available.
