According to An Garda Síochána, shortly after 1:00pm yesterday, the Clonmel Co. Tipperary District Garda Drugs Unit executed a search warrant on a house in the Elm Park area of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
During the course of the search, a reported €11,500 in cash was discovered and seized, together with an estimated €200 worth of suspected controlled drugs and a mobile phone. The drugs will now be sent for analysis.
No known arrests as yet have been made, but Gardaí are understood to be following a definite line of enquiry.
Enquiries are also continuing in relation to the origins of the cash seized, which is suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity.
