It was with sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Tuesday 2nd June 2020, of Mrs Josephine (Josie) Whelton (née Dunne), No.6 Sean Treacy Avenue, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly ‘The Courthouse’, Rathangan, Co. Kildare.
Predeceased by her husband Tim, her daughter Kathleen and her sons Seamus and Michael; Mrs Whelton passed away in her 94th year of age, while in the care of Padre Pio Nursing Home, Holycross, Thurles.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving sons Ted, Noel and Ger; daughters-in-law; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters Maura and Anne; nieces; nephews; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
In accordance with government guidelines regarding public gatherings; a private, family only, funeral Mass for Mrs Whelton will take place in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street , Thurles on Friday morning next, June 5th, at 11:00am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
