The total number of Covid-19 virus cases that have been confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; as of midnight on Thursday, May 21st last, stands at 528, with an increase of 0 recorded new case, within a 24-hour period.
The Department of Health has confirmed, this evening, that a further 13 people have tragically died from the virus, here in the Republic of Ireland over the past 24 hours. These latest figures place the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic to 1,582.
This evening, it has also been confirmed that an additional 76 new cases of coronavirus have been identified, bringing the total since conception to 24,582.
Of those hospitalised, 393 cases have been admitted to ICU.
Keep in mind that for those of whom transmission status has been confirmed; travel abroad now accounts for 2%; close contact accounts for 38%, and community transmission accounts for 60%.
Dublin still has the highest number of cases at 11,830 (48% of all cases), with Co. Cork confirmed as having cases 1,420 (6%); now surpassing in numbers Co. Kildare, latter with 1,387 cases (6%)
