A man in his 30’s has been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis grow house at a property in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
Cannabis herb and plants with an estimated street value of some €28,500 have now been seized.
We understand that the search was undertaken by Gardaí from the Clonmel area yesterday evening, at about 4:30pm, with officers having obtained a search warrant for the house situated on the north side of the town.
It was here that officers state that they located a sophisticated grow house in the roof space of the building, which contained 35 plants believed to be cannabis.
Amongst the items also seized by Gardaí were grow lamps, heaters and fans.
The male arrested at the scene has been released without charge and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
