Gardaí have issued a warning to all motorists requesting that they drive with greater care, following a number of collisions on the M7 in Co. Tipperary this afternoon.
All of the vehicle crashes occurred, following prevailing bad weather conditions, including in particular, a series of hail showers, which are presently affecting Co. Tipperary.
The M7 was forced to close in both directions between Nenagh town and the village of Birdhill in North Tipperary, following a series of crashes on both sides of the motorway.
Note: We understand that this route is now open again since 2:00pm this afternoon.
