It is with sadness that we learned of the death today, Sunday 5th January 2020, of Mr Michael Stapleton, Maxford, Horse & Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Glengoole, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Stapleton passed away peacefully while at his home, surrounded by loving family.
His passing will be most sadly missed by his devoted wife Sadie; sons Richard and Seamus; daughters Caroline and Lorraine; grandchildren; sons-in-law John and Kevin; sisters Mary (Webster) and Peggy (Burke); nephews; nieces; extended relatives; former Council colleagues; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Stapleton will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Wednesday evening, January 8th, 2020, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, to arrive at the Church of St. Peter, Moycarkey, Thurles at 7:45pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday morning, January 9th, at 11.30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Peter’s Cemetery, Moycarkey, Thurles, Co Tipperary.
