It was with sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Monday 16th September 2019, of Mr James (Jimmy) Phelan, Killinan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Graiguemane, Gortnahoe, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by brothers Francis and John and sister Alice; Mr Phelan passed away peacefully, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his devoted wife Bridie (née Kenny); sons Francis, Bryan and Seamus; daughter Mairead (Bohan, Castleiney); cherished grandchildren Thomas, Maria, Áine, James, Emma and Maeve; sisters Nellie (Cleere, Templetuohy) and May (McGettigan, Dublin), daughters-in-law Marion (née Cummins, Dunkerrin) and Ali; son-in-law Seamus; nephews; nieces; sisters-in-law; cousins; extended relatives; neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Phelan will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Thursday evening, September 19th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, to arrive at the Church St. Joseph and St. Brigid, Bothar-na-Naomh, Thurles, at 7.45pm.
Requiem Mass on Friday September 20th at 10:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the cemetery of St. Patrick and St. Oliver, Glengoole, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
