A reminder, [as if our readers needed to be reminded] Thurles Cathedral Choir are all set to perform a concert of “Seasonal Music” at 8:00pm tomorrow night, December 2nd, in the Cathedral of The Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles.
This Sunday evening will see Thurles Cathedral Choir’s second concert of festive music working in close collaboration with the Clonmel Concert Orchestra, latter under the musical baton of Mr Danny Carroll.
Note: Since this truly wonderful venue is expected to be packed to capacity, elderly persons, particularly those with difficulty standing over long periods, are advised to attend early to ensure a place to sit.
Huge work has gone into choir rehearsals, under the instruction and guidance of Ms Mary Rose McNally, same which began in late August of this year, and which eventually identified the final selection of classical, sacred and seasonal hymns /carols, latter which those in attendance tomorrow night will hear performed.
No admission price is being charged to this much anticipated event, however a donation where possible is requested, with all proceeds going towards the recently launched “Cathedral Roof Replacement Project”, the costs of which are expected to reach a €1.5 million estimate.
