It is with great sadness we learned of the death today, Friday 24th November 2017, of former Tipperary and Munster footballer and CIE employee, Mr Thomas (Tom) Keane, Barrack Street, Fethard, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Cloneen, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his wife Maryanne and twin children Eleanor and Joseph; Mr Keane passed away while in his 93rd year.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his sons John-Joe, Eamon, Tommy, Michael and Cyril; his daughters Catherine and Mary; his sisters Mary and Margaret; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; grandnieces; grandnephews; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Keane will repose in McCarthy’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Spitalfield, Fethard, Co. Tipperary, on Sunday evening next, November 26th, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
Funeral Mass will be held in the Augustinian Abbey Church, Abbeyville, Moneypark, Fethard, Co. Tipperary on Monday morning next at 11.00am, followed by burial in Cloneen Cemetery, Co Tipperary.
