Hurling fans travelling to Thurles this afternoon are strongly advised to avoid the N75 Dublin road.
Same is presently closed between Thurles and Two-Mile-Borris at Drish, following a collision, which we understand involved a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. The pedestrian was removed from the scene and taken to hospital.
We understand the incident occurred in the early hours of this morning, at around 3.00 a.m. Gardaí expect the road to reopen shortly, however motorists are asked to avoid the area for the moment.
Clare take on Cork in the Munster SHC final at Semple Stadium, Thurles later today (July 9th). Throw-in takes place at 4.00 p.m. and delays can also be expected through Thurles, particularly on the Nenagh Rd (R498) both before and after the match.
