A jockey remains in an induced coma in hospital having suffered a fall from a horse, two days ago, in Co. Tipperary.
The 19-year-old male was participating at an amateur point-to-point event in Ballingarry, Co. Tipperary on Monday, when he sustained the injuries.
We understand that the young man suffered head injuries and fractures to his vertebrate spinal column.
The jockey was airlifted to the Midlands Regional hospital in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, where he currently remains in an induced state of unconsciousness, but what is understood to be a stable condition.
