Thurles – Deaths Jan 16th – Jan 18th 2016

GORMAN

It was with great sadness we learned of the death on Saturday last (January 16th, 2016) of Mr John Gorman (Snr), Lisduff, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mr Gorman passed away peacefully.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Gorman reposed at Grey’s Funeral Home, Templemore this evening from 5:30pm. Removal took place at 7:30pm to the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles, arriving at 8:30pm.

Requiem Mass will take place tomorrow, Tuesday at 11:00am, followed by burial immediately afterwards in Two-Mile-Borris Cemetery.

CARROLL

It was with great sadness we learned of the death on Sunday 17th January 2016 of Dr. Michael Carroll (PhD. Doctor of Science) of Houston, Texas, U.S.A., and formerly of Two-Mile-Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Dr. Michael Carroll passed away peacefully in Texas.

Beloved husband of Carolyn the passing of Mr Carroll is most deeply regretted by his immediate family; Patricia and Timothy and son of the late Timothy (N.T.) and Kate. His sisters Sadie Meehan (Dungarvan), Eileen McGuire (Dundrum, Dublin), Reena Fanning (Thurles), Mary Nagle (Buttevant) and Margaret Harte (Geachill), relatives and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements
Cremation will take place in Houston, Texas.

SCALES

It was with sadness we learned of the death today, Monday 18th January 2016, of Mrs Margaret (Peg) Scales (née Lee), Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Late of Coumbeg, the passing of Mrs Scales is most deeply regretted by her sons Darryl and Jeffrey, grandchildren, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Scales will repose at O’ Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Upperchurch on tomorrow, Tuesday, from 6:00pm with removal at 7:30pm to the Sacred Heart Church, Upperchurch.

Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11:30am, followed by burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
