The much anticipated official honouring of local athletics hero Patsy Fitzgerald in Glengoole, Co. Tipperary on tomorrow, Sunday December 27th 2015, has now been postponed.
The Patsy Fitzgerald Road Race, together with the unveiling of a plaque to honour the distinguished athlete has been temporally cancelled, as a mark of respect, following the death of a local member of the Glengoole village community.
This event will now be rescheduled for a future date, same as yet to be announced and the organisers, Glengoole Community Group, wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused to those planning to attend tomorrows event.
