Tomorrow evening (Monday 19th January 2015) athletic lovers, walkers and our readers can avail of the opportunity to meet up with the now famous athlete Dave O’Brien.
Dave an inspirational speaker and motivator will be giving a lecture at the Anner Hotel, Dublin Road, Thurles, at 8.00pm and admission is totally free. However do please note in the interest of seating capacity, if you are attending, do please call or text in advance to Mobile No 087-6595258, to book a seat for yourself and a friend.
Dave O’Brien travels the world sharing his knowledge on how he became the only Irish person and only the 3rd person in the world (the other 2 where full time professional athletes) and the oldest person at 56 years, to complete the 4 Deserts challenge, a truly remarkable feat.
Each desert saw him complete a 250km race over 5 days, while self supported carrying all his food and sleeping under canvas at night. Dave completed this challenge in just 38 weeks and he will now share his story; a story, I might add, that will appeal to all age groups, about this adventure and much, much more on the evening.
