The church of the Sacred Heart, Templetuohy, Thurles, Co.Tipperary was the venue chosen by beautiful bride Maireád Fogarty and groom Philip O’Dea, for their recent marriage ceremony.
The ceremony was performed in the midst of truly magnificent floral arrangements and in front of a large congregation of family and friends.
Chief celebrant for the occasion was the groom’s cousin Fr. Joe Walsh, ably assisted by local parish priest Fr.Pat Murphy while Scripture readings and Prayers of the Faithful were re-sited by close family and friends
Music for the ceremony was performed by renowned local tenor Mr Tadhg Maher, backed by the pleasant music and full vocals of the local Templetuohy Parish Choir.
Following the ceremony the happy couple retired to the luxury of the Newpark Hotel, situated in that historic and cultural gem that is Kilkenny City.
In the best tradition of Irish hospitality, guests were entertained to a lavish reception, followed by music and dancing into the early hours.
The happy smiles observed in this hand tinted picture, I think perhaps best sums up this very enjoyable occasion.
A video recording of the days events were undertaken by top videographer Pat Corbett
By now the happy couple are enjoying their honeymoon together and from all your friends and acquaintances in Co. Tipperary and else where, come wishes to you both for a happy and prosperous life together.
