Notice has been posted by North Tipperary County Council that Mathew Avenue and Castle Avenue, Thurles, beginning from its junction with the R498 at Parnell Street to its junctions with the R660 at Friar Street, The Colmyard Road and Holycross Road, will close in the coming weeks.
The order to temporary close this stretch of urban roadway is given under the Roads Act 1993 – 2007 (Section 75 Of The Roads Act 1993) Roads Regulations 1994.
Period of Closure: The above road closures will be in place from 6:00am on Monday 18th November 2013 to 6:00pm on Friday 6th December 2013.
The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate works associated with the Water Mains Rehabilitation Works (Contract No.2) currently being implemented by North Tipperary County Council in Thurles Town.
