An elderly Thurles Lady has died following a tragic road traffic accident on Thursday last in Thurles.
Mrs Bridie Corbett, Kennedy Park, Thurles, Co Tipperary, succumbed, in the early hours of this morning, to the injuries she sustained during a tragic road traffic accident, between 2.30pm and 3.0pm on Thursday afternoon last, in Friar Street, in the town.
Diversions were put in place for several hours following the accident, as police carried out their investigation.
The well known and much respected Mrs Corbett, who was aged 81, was immediately rushed to the South Tipperary General Hospital with injuries which were then described as “very serious.”
To her immediate family and many friends go our most sincere sympathy at this time.
