A man has sadly lost his life following a collision between a car and a ride-on lawnmower last night, Friday April 11th, in South Co Tipperary.
The collision occurred on the N76 at Kilcash Cross at approximately 9:50 pm.
The man, aged in his 30s, who was travelling on the ride-on lawnmower, was later pronounced dead at the scene, before his body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford.
No other injuries were reported and a post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days.
This morning, the road remains closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions have been put in place.
Gardaí are today appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Any road users who may have dash-cam or other camera footage and who were travelling in the area on the N76 between 9:30pm and 10:30pm are being asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
