Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
Father Phil has been around all my life.
A gentle soul,and a brilliant listener.
As a young man, he came to London, where my mother lodged Phil with the family, before he found his pathway to the church.
Phil was obviously the first choice for officiating at my father’s funeral.
When he lodged with us, my mother took great pleasure in feeding up his then skinny frame.
A lovely man, and sadly missed.
