It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 20th July 2024. of Mrs Delia (Bridie) Whelan (née Molloy), Castlefogarty, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Aughervilla, Co. Mayo.
Pre-deceased by her parents, James and Delia, son Seamus, sisters May and Sr Teresa, brothers Mike, Seamus and Eugene: Mrs Whelan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s residence.
Her passing is most deeply regretted, sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family; husband Paddy, daughters Teresa and Marie, son Pat, son-in-law Paddy, daughter-in-law Joanne, adoring grandchildren Cait, Aine and Daniel, sister-in-law Anne, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Whelan will repose at O’Dwyers Funeral Home, Cappanaleigh, Upperchurch, Thurles on Monday afternoon from 5:30pm until 7.30pm, before being received into the Church of St. Cataldus, Ballycahill, Thurles, to arrive at 8:15pm approximately, same evening.
Requiem Mass for Mrs Whelan will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:30am, followed by interment in nearby Ballycahill Cemetery, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
