It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday, Saturday 16th March 2024 of Mr Gillies Macbain, Cranagh Castle, Templetuohy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Macbain passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, while in the dedicated care of staff at Kilkenny Care Centre.
The earthly remains of Mr Macbain will be received into the Church of the Sacred Heart, Church Lane, Longorchard, Templetuohy, Thurles, on Tuesday morning, March 19th, to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment, immediately afterwards in Oakvale Cemetery, Carricksallagh, Stradbally, Co. Laois.
Mr Macbain, an active member within the Templetuohy and Thurles area, is survived by eight of his nine children.
The family wish to thank the staff of Kilkenny Care Centre for their genuine care given to Mr Macbain over the past few months.
