Death Of Kitty Cooke, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Wednesday 20th April 2022,of Mrs Kitty Cooke (née Cooney), Croke Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ballybeg, Littleton, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Eddie, brothers Martin, Michael, Paddy, John, Phil and Seamus; Mrs Cooke passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of staff at Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles and Waterford University Hospital. .

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her heartbroken family; daughters Norah and Catherine, son Patrick, adored grandchildren Kevin and Ellen, sons-in-law Pat and Gerry, daughter-in-law Avril, sisters Mary and Nellie, brother Joe, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Kathleen, Margaret, Alice, Maura, Josie, Cora and Mary, brothers-in-law Ted, Sean, John and Peter, extended relatives, former colleagues in the Hospital of the Asumption, good neighbours and great friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Cooke will repose in Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Friday evening next, April 22nd, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Her body will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles on Saturday morning, April 23rd, at 10:30am to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Interment will take place immediately afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mrs Cooke, but are unable to do so, due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic; same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending Requiem Mass will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
