It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Tuesday 15th February 2022, of Mrs Mary Curran (née Somers), Pococke Lower, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Coon and Ballingarry (South riding), Co. Tipperary.
Pre-deceased by her husband James Curran (late of Carlow) and her former husband Thomas Purcell (late of Ballingarry), Mrs Curran passed away peacefully, while in the care of staff at Drakelands House Nursing Home.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her loving sister Rita (Lang), nephew Padraic, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Curran will repose for Requiem Mass on Thursday February 17th at 10:30am in the Church of Saint John the Evangelist, Dublin Rd, Highhays, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny, followed by interment immediately afterways in St. Kieran’s Cemetery, Kilkenny.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mrs Curran, but are unable to do so, due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic; same can be viewed online HERE.
[NB: Due to Public Health Guidelines, regarding C-19 virus restrictions; those attending Requiem Mass will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
