Burst Domestic Water Pipe Closes Thurles Westgate Area.

The Westgate area of Thurles, leading west from Liberty Square into Friar Street in the town, remains closed this Sunday morning.

The area remains closed this lunch time due to a burst water pipe, which for a time flooded the area. Council staff are currently attempting necessary repair work.

This is the second such burst water pipe incident within this same immediate area, within the last 9 months.
