It was with great sadness that we learned of the death today, Wednesday 29th December 2021, of Mr P.J. (Podge) Cooke, Moyne Terrace, Mitchel Street, Thurles, Tipperary; Rathdowney, Co Laois and formerly Sean Treacy Avenue, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his son Conor, parents Pa-Joe and Breda, sister Olive; Mr Cooke passed away peacefully following a short illness, while in the care of staff at Tipperary University Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his daughter Adrianne, son Derek, their mother Catherine, grandchildren Lee. Faye, Dylan, Sonny and Esmee Lua, sister Teena (Maher), brothers David and Martin, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Cooke will repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Sunday evening, January 2nd, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
A private family cremation Service will take place in Shannon Crematorium, Illaunmanagh, Shannon, Co. Clare, on Monday next January 3rd.
Requiem Mass will be held in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles on a date to be announced later.
