A woman, aged in her 60s, has sadly passed away following a multi-vehicle crash on the M7 near Ballywilliam in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, on Monday last at approximately 1:20pm.
Following the multi-vehicle crash, which involved a number of cars and a truck; a female driver was removed to University Hospital Limerick where, sadly, she passed away on yesterday afternoon.
Two other women were also receiving treatment after the crash, but their injuries were not deemed to be life threatening.
Confirming the death yesterday, a Garda statement read:
“Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a number of vehicles that occurred at approximately 1:20 pm on Monday, 6th December 2021, on the M7 near Ballywilliam in Nenagh, County Tipperary.
The driver of one of these vehicles, a woman in her 60s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.
She passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, 7th December 2021.”
