The Department of Health has confirmed 1,345 new cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland, with 105 people in our hospital’s; 21 of whom are in ICU’s. Total number of deaths in the Republic are recorded as at today, July 24th, sadly at 5,026.
In Northern Ireland, there are 1,520 cases confirmed positive, with, sadly, one death reported in just the past 24 hours. Same death brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths recorded by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (Nisra) to 2,992. Here also, regional vaccination centres will stop giving first doses of Covid-19 jabs on July 31st.
Total number of confirmed cases today on the island of Ireland, stand at 2,865.
Between July 6th and July 19th, 2021, some 18 cases of the virus were confirmed in Thurles, Co. Tipperary
In the Irish Republic, as of yesterday, Friday July 23rd, 2,377,108 persons have received their second Covid-19 vaccination, while 3,119,312 persons have received their first vaccine dose.
In all, some 5,496,420 vaccines have now been administered, a remarkable achievement by medical staff, HSE officials and our current government.
