An Garda Síochána (Thurles Branch), have arrested one male, understood to be aged in his late 30’s, following the discovery of a suspected cannabis grow house. Same was located inside a converted horse box, following a search, at around 8.30pm in the Ballycahill area of Thurles, Co Tipperary, yesterday evening.
The horsebox had been properly renovated to include the fitting of heating, fans, insulation and other paraphernalia, all required for the succesful cultivation of cannabis plants.
The suspected cannabis plants seized during the course of the Garda search had an approximate value of between €9,000 & €10,000.
One man was subsequently arrested and later detained at Templemore Garda Station, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
