It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death, yesterday Friday 19th March 2021, of Mr Willie Shanahan, Foilagoul, Upperchurch, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by his brother Frank, Mr Shanahan passed away peacefully at his place of residence, while in the care of his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving wife Zita, his daughter Catherine (Lonergan), sons James, Eoin and Martin, daughters-in-law Denise and Marllory, son-in-law Mark, grandchildren Jack, Anna, Katie, Fiona, Eleanor and Eliana, sisters Sr. Josephine, Mairead (Power), Anne (Ryan), Sr. Brigid, Nora (Ryan) and Mary (Gould), mother-in-law Kathleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
Requiescat in Pace.
Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mr Shanahan will repose for Requiem Mass, attended by family only, on Sunday afternoon next, March 21st in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Upperchurch, at 2:00pm, followed by interment in Upperchurch cemetery
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended the funeral service of Mr Shanahan, but are unable to do so, due to current coronavirus pandemic restrictions; same can be viewed online HERE.
