It was with great sadness and regret that we learned of the death yesterday, Monday 8th February 2021, of Mrs Mary Shanahan (née Butler), Pallashill, Drombane, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mrs Shanahan passed away peacefully after a short illness, while in the care of staff of University Hospital Limerick.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband Matt, son Jamie, daughter Caoimhe, parents Thomas and Kathleen Butler, mother-in-law Maura, sister Joan (Cummins), brothers-in-law Michael Johnson, Billy Cummins and Michael Shanahan, sisters-in-law Deirdre and Margaret, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, godchildren Amy and Odhran, extended relatives, work colleagues at Barry’s Supervalu, Thurles, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.
The earthly remains of Mrs Shanahan will repose for Requiem Mass, attended by family members only, on Thursday at 1:00pm in the Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Munroe, Inch, Thurles, followed by interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Bouladuff, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mrs Shanahan, but are unable to do so, due to the current coronavirus pandemic; same funeral service can be viewed online HERE.
