This evening the Department of Health have confirmed that, sadly, there have been 6 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll, here in the Republic of Ireland, remaining at 3,687.
We further learn that there have been 829 new additional virus cases reported in the republic today. This leaves the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, here in the Irish Republic, at 204,397.
Of the cases today; 386 are in Dublin, 37 in Meath, 36 in Cork, 35 in Kildare, 32 in Louth, with the remaining 301 cases located across 20 other counties.
However, there were also 27 new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours in Co. Tipperary; to midnight last night, and 340 cases within the past 14 days.
There are over 1,212 people with Covid-19 in hospital, and of that number, 176 people are in ICU’s, according to Ireland’s COVID-19 Data Hub.
In Northern Ireland, sadly, 12 further people have died from Covid-19, with 296 new confirmed cases.
Total global cases up to 5.30pm this evening, are now standing at over 106.2 million confirmed cases, with global deaths at over 2.32 million.
