A male, understood to be in his early 20’s, was arrested yesterday evening, at approximately 6:00pm, having been found in possession of cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of approximately €2000. (pending analysis).
The young man, who was observed by Gardai acting suspiciously at the Western Road, in Clonmel; having alighted from a bus, was searched by officers, under the ‘Misuse of Drugs Act’.
Following the search and seizure by officers, he was arrested and is currently being detained at Clonmel Garda Station, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, for further questioning.
