Death Of Mary Corbett, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It is with great personal sadness and deepest regret, that I learned of the death today, Sunday 24th January 2021, of Mrs Mary Corbett, No 36 Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Banquet Hill, Kilcommon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband James J. (J.J.), her son Seamus, grandson Paul and daughter-in-law Jackie; Mrs Corbett, while in her 93rd year, passed away in the care of staff at St. Teresa’s Nursing Home.

Devoted mother, she will be sadly missed by her sons Rev. Fr. Padraig, Gerard and Des (Navan), daughter-in-law Treacy, Gerard’s partner Catherine, grandchildren, her sisters Kathleen Gormley, Teresa Rohan and Christine O’Meara, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Corbett will leave her place of residence on tomorrow morning, Tuesday January 26th at 10:15am to be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 10:30am to repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, attended only by family members.
Interment will take place immediately following Mass in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mrs Corbett, but are unable to do so, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, same funeral service can be viewed online HERE.
