26 new killer Covid-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 3 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,885.
There are 939 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 58,067.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 26 are in Co. Tipperary (1,099 cases to date, per RTE summary); 262 in Dublin; 96 in Cork; 61 in Meath; 53 in Galway; 51 in Donegal; with the remaining 387 cases located across all other remaining counties.
However, the county with the lowest 14-day incidence rate remains Co. Tipperary at 139.1 per 100,000 of population.
Currently, there were 341 confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded nationally in our State’s hospitals at lunch time, with 38 of these patients in intensive care units.
There were 727 new cases in Northern Ireland bringing their total number of confirmed cases to 34,832, with sadly 5 further deaths from Covid-19 virus in the past 24 hours. Their death toll now stands at 658.
Total global cases this evening now stand at well over 43 million [43,238,481] with global deaths well over 1.15 million [1,156,212].
