Ten New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary
The Department of Health have confirmed that there have been sadly 1 new death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,827.
However, there are 825 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 43,351.
Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 10 are in Tipperary (Overall total of 885); 254 in Dublin; 147 in Cork; 39 are in Cavan; 38 in Donegal; 37 in Kildare; with the remaining 300 cases located across 19 other counties.
Of the new cases, 78% are under the age of 45, while the average age is 30.
According to the latest figures from the Health Service Executive, the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 currently in hospitals as of yesterday are 221 with 32 of these patients in intensive care units.
There have been 877 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland and sadly 3 further death.
Total global cases this evening now stand at above 37 million [37,606,333] with global deaths at almost 1.1 million [1,078,097], an increase of 4,256 in under 20 hours.
