This evening, figures from the Department of Health have lately confirmed that there have been one new death caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,775.
However, there are 190 new additional cases reported to the Department of Health, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases since conception, in the Irish Republic, at 27,499.
Of these new cases 38, or 1 in 5 nationally, are confirmed as being in Co. Tipperary.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet has decided that Gardaí will now rightly be given new powers to enforce Covid-19 related rules around social gathering, particularly with regards restaurants or bars serving food and also in private residences.
