Death Of Peg Hanafin, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It is with a great personal sadness that I learned of the death this morning, Monday 27th July 2020, of Mrs Margaret (Peg) Hanafin [née Ryan (Agent)], Sue Ryder Homes, Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Rossa Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and Crosshue, Blackwater, Co. Wexford.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Seamus; Mrs Hanafin passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her daughters Joan, Sinead and Kathryn (Crowley); sons Paddy and Seamus; grandchildren Siobhan, Rosemarie, Ailbhe, Áine, Seamie, Naoise, Fiona, Jack, James, Rodhrai, Greg, Katie and Frank; great-grandchild Saoirse; spouses and partners, Luke (Clancy), Jim (Symons), Jenny (McDonnell) and Jody (Crowley), extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on tomorrow evening, Tuesday 28th July, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, (with strict adherence to social distancing and face coverings).
Her earthly remains will be received at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, on Wednesday July 29th for Requiem Mass at 11:00am.
Interment will follow immediately afterwards in Holycross Abbey cemetery.

[Note: Due to HSE and Government restrictions; numbers are limited 50 family members and friends in the Cathedral Building.]
